Assistant Producer

Duration: 6 Month Contract

Rate: DOE (Dependent on Experience)

Location: Onsite Only – Blackpool, Lancashire, UK

Airship Images is seeking an Assistant Producer to support their team on a range of exciting AAA projects at their studio.

You will be responsible for:

  • Assisting to ensure the development of all projects occurs in a timely fashion, adheres to schedule and meets the high-quality standards required.
  • Assisting in the population and maintenance of tracking tools and software.
  • Reviewing milestone deliverables and working with the Head of Production to ensure they are fully achieved to the highest standards.
  • Attending meetings, taking meeting points and relaying information to the relevant teams.
  • Working with artists and external contractors to ensure a good working environment and atmosphere.
  • Assisting in Miscellaneous Production and Office Management tasks when required.

Requirements:

  • The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills both written and verbal.
  • The confidence to find solutions to problems and the ability to motivate the team.
  • The Ability to work as both part of a team and independently.
  • Be highly motivated with an eagerness to learn.

Pluses:

  • Experience with Shotgun.
  • Game Production Courses / Education
  • Game Industry Experience

Junior Character Artist

Duration: 6-12 Month Contract

Airship Images is looking for a Character Artist to work on a range of exciting projects at their studio in Lytham St. Annes. Our ideal candidate will have a genuine interest in creating next gen character art and be passionate about pushing the quality level of their artwork.

Requirements:

  • A strong working knowledge of Maya, Photoshop, Substance Painter and ZBrush is essential
  • An eagerness to learn new workflows/techniques
  • Self-motivated with strong communication skills
  • The ability to take and apply direction and work well in a team environment

Pluses:

  • Examples of Character Hair in Portfolio
  • Examples of Character Clothing in Portfolio
  • Experience using Unreal Engine 4
  • Experience using CryEngine / Lumberyard
  • A keen interest in games beyond art

Tools Programmer / Software Developer

Salary: DOE
Location: Blackpool, UK

Airship Images is looking for Tools Programmer who is passionate about writing high end, in-house game development tools and innovative software at their studio in Lytham St. Annes. Our ideal candidate should have an endless list of ideas for improving current tools and ideas for new tools. You will work closely with the art team to support their work on exciting projects and will help lay the groundwork for a new internal project we have in the works.

Requirements:

  • Excellent C++ skills
  • Excellent MEL, Python & Max Script skills
  • Familiar with Unreal Engine, Cry Engine/ Lumberyard & Unity
  • Previous game industry experience and shipped titles
  • Self-motivated with strong written and verbal communication skills
  • The ability to take and apply direction and work well in a team environment

Preferred:

  • Knowledge of Shader Writing/ Programming
  • Keen interest in games outside of development
